Imagine my surprise whilst reading the June edition of The Artist magazine to discover my little story in "On Our Website This Month" about my trip to town to buy said magazine...finding a book I thought had been sold and also finding a course close to home all paid for by Hubby...how lucky am I...I was thrilled to bits. We are all recovering at home and are convinced that we had turned into swine for a while...Hubby who has been on holiday goes back to work tomorrow and is quite looking forward to it...perhaps because at the same time Daughter was on holiday to begin the mini renovation to her little house...so two weeks were spent painting walls, pulling up old carpet and waiting for the new to go down...the outside of the house has been painted and looks wonderful as does the inside...the new patio starts being built tomorrow...all the metal has been delivered...my job rush out on demand to look at furniture flying from shop to shop looking for just the right piece at the right price...then off to show me her new TV etc bought at mates rates from you guessed it her mate...all in all everything fell into place in the time slot...next the patio opening party now known as the Partio which should be fun. The sun is shining and we have had a heap of rain and more to come. The Snowdrops are showing green but if it dosn't cool down a bit I won't get any flowers which I love...so fingers crossed for a bit of cool weather. I have my class tomorrow and I'm so looking forward to it...I thought I might not make it because the old back which has a mind of it's own went into spasm and I couldn't walk...thank goodness for synthetic opiates which I use in emergencies I am now on my feet albeit gingerly but by tomorrow all should be well because nothing will keep me from my class. I also had another stroke of luck...I wrote to the Editor of Artist's Palette an Australian magazine asking if they would think of doing a feature on Australian greens and got a very nice reply...when I bought the most recent issue imagine my surprise when I found three pages on the subject of mixing Australian greens I was stoked...I will say it has helped a lot so I must write to the editor a word of thanks...all is becoming well with the world after a couple of bad months.
