Enjoy two-hours of hands-on teaching from professional artists Liz Chaderton and Tim Fisher in two exciting workshops taking place within our demo marquee at Patchings ARTfest on Saturday 13th July. 

For just £65 you will receive two-hours of tuition from a professional artist and art supplies worth £80 RRP from Rosa Watercolour, Hahnemühle and Melanie Cambridge. You will receive all of the required art supplies for the workshop upon arrival at our stand during the festival.

Creating movement and life using line and wash with Liz Chaderton

Saturday 13th July 2024 

In this hands-on workshop, you will paint a kingfisher using line and wash and develop an understanding of the role of both pen and watercolour. You will explore how to create energetic linework, to inject movement and life into your painting of this stunning bird.

About Liz Chaderton

Liz Chaderton

Liz Chaderton is a full time artist based in Berkshire, working mainly in watercolour and ink. Painting flora and fauna forces Liz to see them in a fresh light, to appreciate their vitality and joie de vivre, something she aims to share through her paintings. Liz's work can be found in galleries in the Thames Valley and selected art prints are available from Artko (UK), Artwall (US via Wayfair) or Wraptious (worldwide). Liz also shares her enthusiasm through teaching workshops in person and online and her fifth book was published in 2023 by The Crowood Press. You can catch Liz's weekly films on YouTube, too.

Get creative with unique surfaces and watercolour with Tim Fisher

Watercolour landscapes on bookmarks and round paper

Saturday 13th July 2024

During this two-hour workshop, you will get creative with Rosa Watercolour pans and Hahnemühle’s watercolour round paper and bookmarks. Using a limited palette of colours, Tim will introduce you to a variety of his painting and drawing techniques. You will look at producing different subjects including landscapes on bookmarks and Koi fish swimming on round paper. This workshop is suitable for artists wishing to try out a new medium, or if you just want to further your watercolour skills.

Tim Fisher

Tim Fisher is a leading artist, author and popular art tutor. Whenever possible, Tim collects his own reference material by observation, field sketches and photographs. He loves “the language of line” and much of his artwork features his sensitive ink drawings. Tim is also a successful author with four books in publication. He is also one of the Editorial Consultants for Leisure Painter, and demonstrates annually at the Patchings Festival for The Artist and Leisure Painter magazines

  • Your workshop ticket includes 2-hours of tuition and all required art supplies for the session.  You will receive all of the art supplies for the workshop upon arrival at our marquee during the festival. Full details can be found via the links above.
