What's happened to Simon's cat?

I sometimes ‘Google’ my name on the internet just to see what comes up. A few years ago, I found myself listed on a website called www.fokker.com. Worried in case this was anything to do with suspended radio presenters I checked it out to find it was a site dedicated to Baron Von Richtofen and featured some of the aviation paintings I’d produced in the past! My kids are always way ahead in new technology and kept asking me why I wasn’t on youtube. Having left engineering a number of years ago, I told them I no longer had any interest in pipework. “no dad, it’s a video channel where you can post films of yourself”. Intrigued, I had a look, thinking it was just for yoof, but was pleasantly surprised that there was visual information for all ages, including lots of instructional art videos. Inspired, I have since produced a series of instructional videos and posted them on the site. Recently, I ran a course at the Broadlands Art centre. I was honoured that two ladies had flown all the way from Taiwan to be on my course. Intrigued, I asked them how they had heard of me, thinking that they had probably seen a copy of the Leisure Painter magazine which seems to find its way all over the world. “We see you on TV!” they answered back in chorus. “But I’ve never been on TV” I replied. “We see you on youtube and we like you very much!” they answered. If you want to see any of these videos, go to www.youtube.com and type in my name. When you get bored of those look for Simon’s cat!!!
