Biography
Tim is a leading artist, author and popular art tutor.Since the launch of his career Tim has won numerous awards for his art He was a finalist in the Daily Mail "Not the Turner Prize" award, short listed from 12,000 entrants and had his pastel painting "Pink Hydrangeas" displayed in the Mall Gallery, London Approaching his paintings like a researcher, Tim works with the heart of a purist and the mind of a realist. Whenever possible he collects his own reference material by observation, field sketches and photography The oil painting "The Melton Millennium Meet" is displayed in the Carnegie Museum, Melton Mowbray and is featured with 38,00 paintings of the UK`s national collection on the Art UK website His ability to have empathy with his students has left him in popular demand with art societies for regular demonstrations and workshops where he is repeatedly asked back. Tim is also a regular contributor (for over 20 years) to painting articles and test reports for art materials in the Leisure Painter magazine His paintings have several times graced the front cover of this highly popular art magazine, the latest being the June 2019 issue.Tim has recently been asked to accept the post of Editorial Consultant for the Leisure Painter magazine. He is a regular demonstrator for the Artist and Leisure Painter magazines at the Annual Patchings Art, Craft & Design Festival near Calverton, Notts He is also a successful author with three books currently in print by Search Press and has recently been commissioned to write a fourth book, medium and title to be decided. Tim also developed the highly popular Fisher400 art paper which is now distributed by a US company ProArt Panels, who now supply Jacksons Art Supplies
