En Plein Air. France. L’aquarelliste errant

Well I’ve pulled the trigger so to speak and booked my next En Plein Air “ A Brush in France” sequel for mid June next year. I am going to be based in Taden a small village just outside the ancient town of Dinan in Brittany. Due to COVID etc. I have not been painting in France for a couple of years. So am quite looking forward to it. There are some fantastic scenes to paint in Brittany. The architecture is what attracts me. Little old tumbledown building and villages. An artists paradise. Usually I visit Hon Fleur , but not this year as I shall be travelling in my faithful little Smarty and not the Motorhome, so I shall be going via Cherbourg. Travelling down the south west coast road to Le Mont Saint Michel and then on to Dinan, which is within easy striking distance to the Pink Granite coast. A delightful natural barren shoreline just waiting for the touch of a brush. This year as I will not have as much room as in the Motorhome. I am going to restrict my en Plein air kit to the minimum. A tripod, a seat and a backing board. A roll of brushes, a palette, and my mini video camera to do a vblog as I go. Vblogging is a new sideline to my artwork, because it enables me to add another dimension to my posted work. Surprisingly it has received a very positive reception to my social media. So. Keep an eye out in six months time for further episodes of “A Brush in France”. John C Fuller “ L’aquarelliste errant”
