Painting Space??? The Tidy Up Has Begun

It all started on Friday when I finally got up the courage to go into the spare room and start the tidy up...I nearly closed the door again...where to begin So I started with the built in wardrobe which has great space but was crammed full of "stuff"...I found my Learn Irish book, about 1000 balls of wool kept in preparation for all of the cardigans and jumpers I meant to knit...an old printer bought in 1993, a pair of binoculars, a very old Kodak camera...some Christmas nibbly plates, an FM tuner, a saxophone, old video tapes and countless wires and cables and that was just the top shelf. The wardrobe itself held about ten frames I've been keeping to frame a masterpiece when it comes along...a heap of canvases, my old portfolio from the 80's with some work in it...a bag of toys for when the God Grandaughter visits...I might say she is now five and these toys are for a two year old but she still loves them. Out went some stuff with the permission of Hubby whom most of it belonged ( apart from the wool) which he urged me to keep...I think he's hoping for a home knitted jumper!!!...the wool fitted into the linen cupboard...the binoculars were kept because they belonged to my Father-in-Law who I loved to bits...the old camera remains just in case it may be worth something in the future...it's already about 40 years old...as did the Christmas nibbly plates which I will need I lost them last year. The saxophone remained it belongs to Daughter who might take it up again along with the piano which sits in our lounge room...the FM radio receiver remains it might come in handy in this digital age!!! Now I have my frames upright in descending order...my canvases are also upright in descending order and all my lovely paper is at last laying flat and I still have a bit of room. Floor space has appeared, wonderful...next is the drawers...then a re-arrangement of the spare bed and my sewing cabinet and hopefully when that is done I will have enough room to put up the old poker table to work from...I have a good gas release chair also in the spare room. All in all quite pleased with the re-arrangement and can see it working...hopefully...I just wont have to buy any more art material until I've at least used some of my now neatly stored material. Oh and just for a change it's raining again...the dams are 60% full hopefully the weir will overflow this year. oiche oiche...showing off minus the accents night night I think
