Have you ever spent ages contemplating a problem only to have someone peer over your shoulder and say “have you thought of doing it this way?” It’s infuriating I know but, yet again, the Shield Maiden is absolutely right; good head on their shoulders these Scandi types! Long story short, I was fixated on the whole body, head, hat problem and how to make the 3 parts AND get them to stick together (as you do) when a little voice points out that it would be easier to just make all 3 as a single tube and then use the painting and decoration to differentiate between them. So that’s what I’m doing! Watched a few You Tube videos but they are mostly American and the Yanks seem to have everything on tap: there’s probably a DIY Nutcracker section in Home Depot. So it’s back to rolling cardboard and painting the world in PVA but we’re getting there 🤓
