I live in Bridlington, East Yorks. I have the coast five minutes walk away, the North York Moors half an hour's drive away, I drive across the Wolds to York every day and am determined to make use of them all next year. I am gradually developing a painting technique that I like and would love to capture the flavour and moods of the stunning scenery surrounding me. It'll be a while before I paint 'en plein air'. I'll make my mistakes indoors, unobserved thank you. As well as painting landscapes I will continue producing Life Studies, but in a looser, more abstract way. I've gone as far as I can with chalk drawings and need to find other avenues. Could be a good year - at least artwise.
