We collected our paintings from the library yesterday. Only two paintings sold ( not mine ) but it was great to have them on show for so long. We also had our first meeting of the new year and discussed everybody's paintings of "A winter walk" ( see my portfolio) which was homework over Christmas, taken from one of my photos. I did eight (!) versions in all but only two were vaguely okay. I have put one of the pastel versions on the net but my watercolour effort is better. Unfortunately it is too big for my scanner and I don't know how to put photographs on yet. Still - I feel , like Patsy from Australia, very pleased with myself for having mastered this much without help from my sons. I am off to England next week to see mum who is not too good but the new painting courses start in February and I am really looking forward to that. P S At our next meeting we will be discussing planning versus spontaneity. Does anybody have strong views here?
