Sunday Hubby tired and dosn't want to go out...a few pathetic looks and off to town...why...to go to Borders to see if the March issue of The Artist was in...on the walk from our free parking spot into Boffins my favourite bookshop and there on display the most beautiful book Chinese Watercolour Techniques by Lian Quan Zhen...leafed through it gorgeous but $50 more than I would usually pay...because I had only just got to town I thought I'll pick it up on the way back to the car...off to Borders YES it's in 1 copy left grabbed it and left...I had some birthday money burning a hole in my purse so I wanted something to show for it...so off to the Pandora shop for a bead and got my birth sign...very nice too...I usually don't wear bracelets but there's something about these Pandora things that's got me hooked...a nice way to collect memories without the risk of losing them...I digress...call from Daughter can you get me some dog biscuits about turn get said biscuits and off to meet Hubby in the usual spot...got to go to Boffins...well the shock the book was gone...my jaw dropped...never one to give up I kept looking and there it was filed in the wrong place...I wanted it even more now...$50 later and I'm a happy chappy...today after cleaning the house I logged on and checked my email and there was a message that I had been penciled in for the course I had inquired about at an art society I had forgotten existed and came upon by chance whilst trolling the web for courses...it is held just around the corner and I mean 5 minutes and that's close by Australian standards where just around the corner may be 300 miles away...and on a day Thursday, when I have little to do...I immediately emailed back to say I would be there please pen me in...Hubby is funding this for me $140 but it's 3 hours and the course runs for longer than most others I have looked at...so to say I'm happy is an understatement...hopefully when I get my feet under the table I will be able to bring up Chinese Brush Work...so that was my lucky weekend plus Monday for good measure
