Maggie's flowers

I am an artist working in Staffordshire but right on the border of the lovely Peak District. I work mostly in watercolours, building up textures and patterns into the background of my flower painting. However, I also paint windows and doorways - the undiscovered corners. I love being able to create vibrant paintings that describe and enhance our wonderful natural world. I run workshops and classes in painting and thoroughly enjoy helping other painters develop their own art work.

Goodness your garden is at least a month ahead of ours up in Lancashire. We had snow last week and a terrible frost just when I'd decided to plant up some tubs with primulas. The forsythia is only just coming out although I did have to mow the lawn today. Lovely to see a bit of colour though; really cheering.
