June Edition of Leisure Painter and Fiona Peart's Project...Thank you Sylvia

Just last week I picked up the June edition of Leisure Painter as well as The Artist...I had flicked through both and gradually began to read the articles...I then spotted Fiona Peart's Project " Loose and Lively Flowers" using wet-in-wet technique with watercolour and acrylic inks of which I have both for my class and painted on very smooth card or hot pressed paper...this project is meant to be quick and loose...with pushing paint away to reveal white paper I have struggled with the Pilbara Landscape and decided to leave it for a while because I'm sick to death of picking over it...the Project only needed some card...so off I went to the newsagent and bought a pack of A3 card real cheap and got started...in her instructions Fiona Peart does say that it may take a few tries before you actually get a painting. The first attempt went in the bin because I was a bit enthusiastic with the pushing the paint away and damaged the card...this is the second attempt and instead of pushing away the paint I sort of pushed it in...so what are supposed to be daisy's can barely be seen apart from the yellow centres...I am on the third and of course it's taking me longer than the 45 minutes but I will get there in the allotted time on the next painting. What a thrill it was to splash paint around and watch it mingle squint the eyes and see what's there...I think I will keep this up for a while and stop fiddling around trying to make everything perfect...Daughter has ordered this type of painting on canvas with red to match her new household accessories...so I'll have to break out the acrylics and get moving...she would like two...OH YEA For anyone interested in motor cycle racing Moto GP my main man Valentino Rossi who I fell for 13 years ago won again tonight...what is it with me and Italians any will do racers, tenors, cars Ferrari especially. I'll put a copy in the gallery because although it's not finished I rather like it and it's a long time since I've said that
