I'm still alive!

I'm still alive!

I didn't realise it had been so long since I last posted an entry. Over a year! My how time flies. Since last writing I have suffered a frozen left shoulder, which was agony for about four months, and also problems with the tendons in my upper right arm. My left shoulder is now fully recovered thankfully, and my right arm is showing signs of being on the mend now too. I'm certainly not in the pain I was in a few weeks ago and haven't needed painkillers or my tens machine for several days. I have just updated my gallery and although the new batch of paintings are in a 2013 folder, they haven't been painted this year. Most were painted in late 2011, although I did struggle to do the St Catherine's Lighthouse and The Skate Fishermen last year. I did find that I could only paint for a few minutes at a time, but I was ok knitting, I suppose it has something to do with the angle of the arms and the fact that I can knit whilst my arm is in a sling taking the weight off of the shoulder joint. Painting in a sling is not really viable for me, although I did try it. Still, I'm feeling better and much more able to paint now. I even went to a workshop this morning and didn't suffer any adverse effects so I have high hopes of getting back into painting again. All the best for now and I promise not to leave it so long this time.
