I'm in!

I've been elected to membership of NAPA

I've never been a member of any national art organization, but felt about a month or so ago that probably I should join a wider community and help to push the old boat out a bit so that the public could see it, swoon, and make free with the cheque book. And anyway, we all like to have a little validation - an assurance that others think we're not just wasting our time with painting and should take to knitting or crewel-work instead.... So I applied to the National Association of Painters in Acrylic - sent in 6 jpg files of my paintings, plus a brief biography. Fawned a little. Then sat back and worried - would they accept me; was I good enough; would they realize my main medium was oil paint, and find it blasphemous.....? This morning, I heard that I have been accepted and am now a full member of NAPA! This means that I'm a member of the same association as Béatrice Cloake, quite apart from anything else - and I'm rather pleased.
