Whew - it took time - lots of cups of Rooibush tea but finally braved my painting room - I have difficulty calling it a studio - don't think of myself as a "proper artist" - shades of emotional baggage there - anyway.... I wanted to send some notes to people - I love receiving letters and so use snail mail -and prefer to make my own notelet cards. So used some recycled pieces from paintings - the originals were useless but the pieces had a different feel and I was pleased with them Perhaps my method should be start with a full sheet of paper - work it to death and end up with a piece 4 inches square that is good- After 2 hours struggling with cards glue and paintings I managed two notelets and settled down to the writing - I enjoyed the process and again made me realise that painting isn't just about - the final image - it is about the journey and what you learn along the way
