Last night full of enthusiasm having had the unfinished acrylic landscape out to view I set about painting plenty of water and a few drops of retarder I thought that should keep them nice...NO by the time I had mixed a green and needed to lighten the green it had turned to lumpy plastic...I know this is a problem in Australia if you are a slow thoughtful painter as I am...need to be quick and lay down strong almost pure colour with confidence which for me is not quite there yet...All is not lost I will get the time until it cools down to practice my Chinese Brushwork...On the positive front we get local free gazette papers one I read and one I don't bother much with...but this week I scoured it and found an artists group 10 minutes drive away and for learners...I think this is what I need...I called and left a message and the lady sounded just my type it's set up for the busy house Frau 11am to 3pm Thursday an/or Friday so I'm off
