A New Beginning

My new class is going fantastic...the Tutor a quiet and helpful man and we had two new people this week so the class is growing...at the beginning of each class he takes half an hour to demonstrate a technique and we all gather around to watch. I did my homework on Saturday night which was to sketch in the picture he has provided me with...I had already stretched the paper...humble though I am I gotta brag...my sketch was greatly admired and my first washes were also admired even by the Tutor...who apart from the occasional look over my shoulder let me get on with it. I'll put it on here and change on a weekly basis with each wash...today only the first washes...he said it dosn't matter if you only do one painting no rush...my kind of man...I arrived home tired and happy as one should after an art class. At home I have a picture with the paper stretched, sketch put in and the resist put on last night in the hope that it will turn out OK for Aqua's charity...a West Australian sea/shore scape of the Margaret River region...this I won't show just in case it ends up in the bin...my passion has returned thank goodness thought I had lost it there for a while I'm also sketching every night feels good I had lost the habit. So happy little chappy I am. Now I have the picture up it's not the best so I'll take another tomorrow and change it...but I hope you get the drift...it's of the Pilbarra region of the North West Oz every thing up there is red...we lived up there for a few years and every ones whites are pink...can't get rid of the red dust
