Wells Art Contemporary 2024 is now calling for entries.

Based in Wells, Somerset, Wells Art Contemporary (WAC) is an international exhibition and competition for ground-breaking contemporary art and a highlight of the city's cultural life.

Up to £2,000 in cash prizes, plus artist residencies, further gallery exhibitions, mentoring, art materials, etc, and twenty £200 bursaries are to be awarded.

WAC is open to all artists over the age of 18 working around the world in all media and styles.

Gallery Show - what you need to know:

• Calling for artworks in all mediums.
• Selectors - artists Tessa Coleman, Katherine Jones RA, and Shanti Panchal.
• Deadline for entries - Thursday 9 May 2024, 5pm BST.

• Calling for proposals for site-specific installations and interventions. 
• Selectors - Mary Branson, artist; Jacquiline Creswell, visual arts advisor; and Victor Ehikhamenor, artist and writer.
