During these worrying times we are asking that artists paint a cheerful, postcard-sized image with a brief, positive message.

Share your postcards here on PaintersOnline, on this forum thread and/or in the gallery. Once you have shared online, assuming you are in an area benefitting from the revived sense of community spirit where neighbours are offerning to run errands, ask that your postcard be delivered to someone else in your neighbourhood who is currently struggling. I am sure that many postmen and women would be happy to deliver a little cheer as they go about their daily duties.

We will spread the positivity even further by sharing your paintings and messages on our social media pages and some will feature in future issues of Leisure Painter and The Artist.

With many local art clubs no longer meeting, invite other members of your group to join in too.

Artists benefit from a regular painting challenge and some lonely, vulnerable people will benefit from knowing others are thinking of them with a lovely hand-made greeting.

Let's spread a little happiness in these difficult days!
