Like this version much better although the other was good too

I like this simpler version too David.

Both versions are rather appealing, and, I have to say that if I have a preference it is for version number 1. That in no detracts from this version.

Thankyou Heather, Katy and Tony. It's really helpful to get your feedback. Also a pleasant surprise Tony to learn that some prefer the first version. It will be interesting to see how they are received if I include them in my exhibition here in Ross in October.

Smaller simpler and hopefully better version 5x8". I wanted to get the dissatisfaction out of my system after the feeling of going too far in the larger version posted recently.

I'm an 83 year old retired surgeon . Art has been my lifelong obsession away from work and now my main focus in life together with woodwork. I enjoy creating and making in any medium but have always gravitated to drawing and watercolour. I've also had limited training in etching and sculpture.
