Smashing atmospheric stuff, Rachel! I spent last Saturday painting a thunderstorm in progress...but from my studio window!!! Not so young as I used to be!!!

Bucketing down throughout painting this- the trick was to get the canvas board covered in paint before the rain got to it- so shovelled it on with a palette knife then painted into it.. It is enjoyable to paint these rainy, wet scenes, it’s quite atmospheric in these conditions.
