Absolutely Beautiful depiction of cattle in snow. A wonderful painting of these alone without the birds/cottage etc which it maybe didn't need. Superb texture, colour and technique

I’ve long been fascinated by Highland Cattle. There is something, not only in their appearance, but in their indomitable spirit that allows them to thrive in harsh unwelcoming climates where other breeds would perish. I hope this digital oil captures something of their formidable abilities to adapt and flourish in those rugged environments. I was inspired to try this painting by Wendy Darker’s beautiful demonstration painting, Highland Fling, in the May 2015 issue of Leisure Painter.
