Highland Lassies
I’ve long been fascinated by Highland Cattle. There is something, not only in their appearance, but in their indomitable spirit that allows them to thrive in harsh unwelcoming climates where other breeds would perish. I hope this digital oil captures something of their formidable abilities to adapt and flourish in those rugged environments. I was inspired to try this painting by Wendy Darker’s beautiful demonstration painting, Highland Fling, in the May 2015 issue of Leisure Painter.
