This digital painting is my first foray into the mystical/fantasy genre with perhaps a bit of romanticism thrown in as well. I was interested to learn that in Celtic mythology, swans were often associated with the goddess Brigid, who was said to have a swan form. The swan was also seen as a symbol of love and loyalty, and was often depicted in art and literature as a bird of great beauty and grace.
