There is something about park benches that appeals to me. They offer a quiet invitation to sit down and take a moment to enjoy life in its fullness. In this painting I’ve tried to capture that special time of day when the sun is neither too hot nor too cool – where your own little space with its creature comforts seems like the best place in all the world to be.
