Just superb, Brian!

Nowt like a bit of improvisation. Great picture, the stonework is excellent.

So good Brian in every way

Thank you for your encouraging comments Thalia, Tony & Heather. Perhaps it would have been more appropriate to paint the whole barn in its setting to show off Swaledale at its best. However, I'm not convinced I would have done it justice.

Homing in on a subject is often enough to make a wonderful painting Brian. It makes me want to know what is hidden away. I love the tonal variations in the brickwork. Very well executed.

Superb painting, love the colours.

Thank you for your comments Mark & Paul. Yes Mark, its nice if an image can tell you a story or raise your curiosity.

Thank you Russell.

I think you were right to choose this composition. It works really well.

Like the way you've used the texture of the paper to advantage Brian using the different materials. Good subject well painted. Good work.

Caught some beautiful colours in the stonework. A great piece of watercolour.
