I really like Ned. I also think the backdrop is really good too.

I think this is lovely and the background works for me

Ned has a lush chestnut colour.

It works very well Brian, I quite like the parred back distance.

Watercolour of a fine shire horse. For simplicity I’ve called him Ned. Painted from my phone shot taken on a walk from Tunnel End Marsden. I’m reasonably happy with Ned, he’s a fine example of a Shire but I’m not so sure of the backdrop. Still a little too strong & fiddly for my liking despite a concerted effort to lighten up.
