The Ewden Valley.

Lovely scene and composition. The stone wall makes a good lead in but IMHO it is a little too strong and dark and draws the eye too much. However I like the painting a lot.

There is a wonderful sense of depth in this beautiful landscape. Really great tree shapes and lovely palette

That is a beautiful scene which you have transformed into a superb painting!

A excellent painting that has been painted beautifully. Everything about it is so good, just brilliant.

A marvellous watercolour I could look at all day, Brian.

Thank you for your constructive comments. Yes Michael I think I may agree & perhaps the same could be said about the autumn bushes which also a little on the strong side. Thank you for your lovely comments Diana, David & Paul.

Thanks Carole, that's what I thought about the view as I walked through it. Sadly views like it have been hidden from view under a cloak of fog for the past few weeks but I'm hoping things will brighten up in the new year.

A terrific painting Brian.

Thank you so much Chris.

Very good work Brian, actually I think the well painted stone wall and the reddish bushes take the eye towards the focal point and are a good contrast to the pale, blueish tones in the distance. But we all see things differently, which is good. Beauty in the eye of the beholder perhaps?

Thank you for your supportive comments Stephen.

A beauty Brian, I like the whole composition and how your eye is led through

Super landscape Brian, you painting has done it justice.

Thank you for your encouraging comments Heather & Fiona.

Great composition and a good use of colour and tonal range, which gives an excellent sense of depth.

Thank you for your thoughts Maureen & William.
