It's really good Brian

Excellent - you have captured the reflections very well.

Fine work Brian. These old trains definitely have something about them.

Terrific.

Thank you for your generous comments David, Neil, Heather, Richard, Lewis & Chris. They are most welcome.

You have captured the train so well. A lovely watercolour all round.

A lovely painting of a streaker as we called them. I collected engine numbers as a boy with my Ian Allen book. I spent a weeks holiday in 1949 in the station at Levisham just down the line from Goathland. It was still a working railway then but the station had been turned into a holiday home

Thank you David. Cheers Fiona. I'm with you Chris, we lived close enough to cycle to Doncaster sheds to catch a glimpse of these beautiful beasts. It was pure nostalgia to ride behind this streak again. Thanks so much Spencer.

Very nice watercolour Brian. Especially the reflections on the side of the Lokomotive I like.

Thank you Regloh I thought the watercolour would get away from me in the reflections but in the end I was pleased with the way they turned out. Gosh Andrew I regard that as praise indeed thanks.

Sir Nigel Gresley, named after its designer’ shunting to the Head of affairs at Grosmont Station on the North Yorshshire Moors Railway. What a great nostalgic day we had. A Watercolour taken from one of the many photographs I took.
