For me, the very crisp edges of this painting work very well to define both the buildings and the nature of the play of light. The reflection on top rail of the railings must have been difficult to achieve.

Watercolour on quarter imperial Saunders Waterford 300 lbs paper. I was looking forward to Staithes Art Festival, accommodation booked but sadly because of Covid 19 it's been cancelled. It's a great event so I guess I'll just have to wait until 2021.
