Marvellous combination of colours.

Lovely Jim, love the black in it really makes it stand out.

This is love.y Jim.

Thanks all. This hasn't photographed particularly well for, as I said, I didn't use black though it looks that way,but a burnt umber /ultramarine mix. Looks better on the paper.

Absolutely love this, Jim.

Thats lovely Jim,I'd love to go to Iona.

I really like this Jim, and glad you’ve got your mojo back as they say! I also saw Fiona’s work and intro to Peploe who I wasn’t familiar with. There’s a hint of Cezanne influence here as well and I have always liked the dark outline look which he produced and you’ve included here. Good one!

I recognised this style straight away Jim, and this is one of my favourite paintings of his. The photographic representations of his work really don’t do his work justice when seen close up. Which I suppose is true for most art but to see the depth of colour and paint, the shape and direction of brushstrokes is really something else.
