Jim, you’ve just taken me back to infant school. I remember the song so clearly, I didn’t realise it’s origins. Did you go to a Catholic school? I can see her flitting over the foam in your abstract.

Thanks for the kind comments, and yes, Fiona I'm a Catholic and was brought up in an infants/secondary school and learned the song there.

Love this Jim - full of rhythm and lyricism. I particularly like the way you have used bold brushstrokes for the sea.

I like the lovely liquid free movement in the brush strokes that give the water the same swagger. Very nice indeed.

Me too, I wonder if it’s still sung at infant level. I loved the song, it is so poetical and sad in some respects.

Doubtful Fiona. They probably do rap and hip-hop instead. It is hard to get favourite songs out of your head when reminded of them. "All in the April Evening has been in mine for weeks" .
