Delicate and unfussy Jim, with lots of impact. Would this be a Bronte or Austen?

Thanks and definitely Austen, Fiona. The Bronte's tales were much less affluent than Austen's Regency upper - middle class heroes and heroines. (-:

This is lovely Jim and definitely evokes Austin.

Like it and the double meaning of the title.

My favourite too!

Thanks Margaret, Paul and Fiona. I've been a Jane Austen fanatic for quite a few years and know her work inside out. I tend to favour "Persuasion" and perhaps "Emma" for character favourites, but I love all he novels.

Really simple but catches everything about the pose. Good work, Jim.

Always like your style and this is particularly good

Beautiful line drawing Jim.

You have such talent in saying so much with the minimum of lines. this is really effective

Thank you Lewis, Heather,Carole and Diana for the kind comments.

Thank you Gudrun. Appreciated.

About the Artist
Jim Morris

I've reached 80 years young and love to paint and draw. Watercolours are my preference used also with line and wash. I paint or sketch something most days of whatever takes my fancy. Glad to have found this site. I don't feel I have a set painting style but I tend to go for impressionism rather…
