Very romantic, Jim. Your style of painting stands out in the gallery...in a good way.

Lovely figure work Jim, 😀

As Carol says, Jim, your style stands out, I can always spot one of yours, even if it might be in "oriental" style. Your title brought back memories - of buying " Brontë" biscuits at a garage at the bottom of Haworth. They were broken, so cheaper, but just as delicious. The firm was taken over and now you only come across them in hotels, in your room, along with the tea/coffee making stuff. I've also been to Brontë in Sicily, the village which gifted it to Nelson as a reward in some or other campaign. I can't remember the actual family name of the Brontës, wasn't it the father who changed his name and assumed the name out of respect to Nelson? Does this all count as an art comment?🤔

Love the titles Jim as well as your art, thanks for brightening up the day.

Love the passion and wild drama you have managed to convey Jim. It would be smashing in colour.

Thanks Carol, Linda,Marjorie John and Carole for the positive comments. Marjorie, I only know the name Bronte was originally Brunty before being changed by Patrick Brote, the father. I lived quite close to Haworth (about 13 miles away) for a couple of years and have visited it quite a few times. The local churchyard is a sad reminder of how very young many people died back then. Charlotte was the oldest Bronte and she died at 38, Emily at 30 and Anne at 29. Tragic for anyone to die so young. To go beyond tourist Haworth, you need to go there and visit on a dark, wet, winters day, then you'll better understand what the Brontes we all about.

Very romantic Jim. Love the expressions. 👍🏻

I so agree with these comments , Jim. All your paintings and drawings draw one in...if you'll pardon the intended pun!!!

clouds are gathering around Cathy and Heathcliff. A quickish sketch from a dramatic society photograph that might make a decent painting. 12 x 8 charcoal pencil and black wash.
