I didn't realise he was a real life character Jim he done well 80 he must have spent 60 years dodging bullets

Thanks Lewis, Sandra and Maureen, and yes Dennis, he was very real. Amazingly, despite all the stories in his colourful life about him being true or not, he was never once hit by a bullet.

Smashing painting Jim, he was a really colourful character. I showed this to my hubby who remembers seeing a photo of him and he thinks this is a good likeness!

Your pictures always make me smile, Jim. Your style is distinctive.
