Wonderful Jim. Love his smile. A bygone era that resonates around these parts also, when men came up from pit and adorned their sporting attire, be it football or rugby. Like this a lot.

Thank you for the comments. Seems like a long time ago now, when manual work ruled most lives. It was hard, long hours and not too well paid, but spirit shone through amongst the working class folks. Nat was typical of that era, although luckier than most he never forgot who he was and where he came from. .....

Times to remember Jim. A lovely painting of a happy man.

I didn't see this at the time (waiting for an eye operation, there were lots of things I didn't see at the time!). Like it - well composed, drawn and proportioned, and the footie boots are a lovely touch.

So full of movement and personality. Fantastic.
