I like both Jim, slight preference for this. Your palette and style give them a vintagy look. Some while back I saw some of her original paintings for her books...they were little masterpieces.

as well as being an author, Beatrix Potter was also a fine artist. Back in the 1880's she made several fine sketches of Lyme Regis as it was then. These are my versions of her sketches...ink and a wash.
