A very nice study in pencil. Looking at what I see here I am sure you will make a really good job of an acrylic or oil painting of the same. The perspective is really good - love the apple.

Thanks Jeanette. I made a start on the background last night so I hope to have a proper go at it today. I've opted for acrylics.

I very rarely use photographs for my artwork as you will see if you check out my other paintings. I just liked the pose of the characters.

This was done in pencil in my sketchbook and was given a light wash of watercolour. I saw a photograph in my newspaper the other day and decided I would like to try an acrylic or oil painting of the subject. My nieces are going absolutely ape over the upcoming film (of the book 'Twilight') so I had to do something for them. I've roughed out the figures on a larger canvas now and am going to start painting in the next few days. Unfortunately the photograph was in black and white so I'm going to have to do a little research first to get the hair colour etc right. I was going with a dead sort of look to his eyes (as he is a vampire) and I wanted her to have a dreamy far away sort of look.
