Catching the last bat home

It is a well known fact (well to me anyway) that the Wee folk have to be home before daybreak. One or two of them get a bit carried away with their evening revels (getting a little merry on acorn wine etc) and are a bit tardy about this. To this end they have an arrangement whereby they can hitch a lift on a passing bat as it returns to its roost for the day. Hence the title of this piece. Watercolour with several ink glazes. 11" x 8" approx.
