The bee survived. I put it in the garden on a flower and when I last looked it had gone. Thank you for your comments ladies.

I was trying out some watercolour papers in my art room and I saw a bee crawling across the floor - looked as if it had run out of energy - bit like me. I went into the garden, picked a daffodil and put the bee inside, then decided to paint it.
