Well it looks as tho' it's going well...have you come across any problems yet and how near is it to being finished?

Thanks Marjorie. Titian took three years to paint it, and although I’m merely copying it I expect to take a couple of weeks at least. I work full time so I can only manage one or two hours after I spend time with my family etc. Now the initial drawing is fairly accurate, the things I see being the most challenging are the drapes and also the size, if it was bigger it would be a lot less fiddly. Working on a monumental scale has its advantages when it comes to adding detail. This is why after seeing them in books seeing them in real life can be such a surprise when you see how little detail there really is as it is all implied. I found some old Tom Keating videos on you tube last night and I shall watch them all again as I thought they were brilliant but he does one on Titian so I shall start with that one.
