Great painting. A lovely composition. I like the detail and colours in the wall and the way the sheep are painted- looks like the one near the wall is wondering if they can escape!

A spot around the Ramshaw rocks area I had not walked to before. Popular with Lancashire Lonk, a British breed of domestic sheep. It belongs to the group of black-faced hill breeds of northern England, and is found in the hills of the central and southern Pennines of Lancashire and Yorkshire.
