Very effective, Martin,

Love the effects and the colours.

Really eye catching

Striking work Martin, like the panoramic proportions.

Such an interesting piece. I love the details of the trees on the horizon line.

Yes, the imagination could run wild with the silhouettes Martin, is it a kind of bog oak? Love this style, the palette and especially the format….perfect for the subject.

I love the panoramic style of this Martin. Very intriguing. I really like the way you have done the distant tree line too.

Very well done Martin. Those waterlogged old trees do have a mysterious look.

Excellent.

Definitely monsters Martin! Or ancient Britins navigating the marshes... you've got me going now! Anyway it's a lovely image - I love the tree line and that gorgeous blue.

A bit different Martin but an excellent example of pen and ink work!

Thanks very much for your valued comments David Elaine Heather Stephen Spencer Fiona David Lewis Chris Sarah and Alan. I think it probably is bog oak Fiona

They make interesting, sculptural shapes - like it!

Thanks very much Hilary and Coral

Remnants from the peat extraction at Hatfield Moors there are several huge stumps in the lakes that give good impressions of being some kind of monsters. Or at least my wandering imagination tells me. Done in a graphic style with Fude pen and carbon ink and coloured with acrylic inks on Fabriano Artistico Watercolour paper. Approx 20x8”
