I like this and the sense of depth you've achieved

Another really good one, Martin!!

Certainly not over worked Martin. Lovely detail in the foreground and the bulrushes are fab! I always admire your greens.

It's nicely painted, and your walk was enjoyed for sure...

The shapes and greens work well Martin. Certainly given a dull day life for sure.

This is great Martin. I love the foliage along the side of the water.

Did George go in? My dog Harry would have - lovely scene.

I too love the detail in the foliage Martin - it's a very inviting scene.

Thanks Heather David Fiona PogArt John Spencer Marjorie and Sarah. Very generous comments. I did enjoy the walk. George is unimpressed by water and avoids it at all costs which is great because I don’t get shaken on and don’t have to wash and dry him later which was the way of it with Morty our previous dog.

It's lovely Martin. I enjoy all your work.

That’s a very kind comment Diane. Thank you

It is not 'over-worked'; it is just right, lovely.

Very kind of you to say Trevor. Thank you

Whilst walking George in an overcast day in early October with little light and no shadows, I was attracted by the bulrushes and sketched them. Added colour and tried to enliven the image in Studio later. Possibly overworked? On Saunders Waterford Hp 16x12 block
