What a fantastic name Martin…..sets the imagination off on a jolly! Great sketch.

Definitely toll-rol-de-rol! Like it.

Looks an interesting place Martin, brought to life with your fine pen work.

This is a joy. Reminiscent of Arthur Rackham..

As soon as I saw it I thought a great background for a fantasy picture, then I read the name. Trolls eh? I like it.

Looks lovely and enchanted Martin - will look it up ! A fabulous drawing too!

Such a great hidey place, love the pen work Martin, the white branches balance it beautifully.

Great sketch, Martin. Like Sylvia, it reminds me of Arthur Rackham.

Definitely troll country! A super sketch.

Excellent work, definitely the start to a story .

Glad to have got imaginations working and that you like the sketch. Thanks so much for commenting Fiona Heather Val Sylvia Lewis Sarah Carole Jenny Karen and Dixie. Arthur Rackhams work is a delight and out of my league but I’ll take the compliment. Thank you

A superb piece, Martin - the tonal balance and lively mark-making are excellent.

Thanks very much for your comment Seok

Saw this name on an OS map and had to visit it. For some reason my wife uses Troll as a nickname for me. Really worth it. Named after rumours of a troll living there. Walked from Parcival Hall gardens about 1 mile. Sketched En plein air with Uni pen on Canson 1557 pad A5 and coloured later with Inktense pencils and white ink
