I love the way you create the light Martin - it’s something that fascinates me too.

Very well done Martin.

Super picture!

Beautiful shafts of sunlight, great painting Martin.

Great composition and the light is fabulous Martin!

Thanks very much Marjorie Stephen Shirley Carole Alan. Strong light is a gift to us painters and is of endless fascination and often frustration trying to capture it isn’t it?

What a lovely looking walk and the way you've captured the light is very good

Great light and I like the way you've treated the foliage.

I really like the way you have addressed the thick shrubbery either side of the path Martin. Loose with the stand out details of light. The path of course is the star…..wonderful areas of light and shade.

That light across the path makes the work just right Martin. George is up there some place.

I love this kind of scene and path Martin and you have captured the light and shadows really well.

Thanks Heather Lewis Fiona John and Tessa. Really appreciate your kind support

This is a really lovely painting Martin. The way you’ve allowed the light to permeate through is lovely.

Thanks very much Spencer

Thanks Coral. You’d be very welcome!

I often walk this path with George where you are once in a dark tunnel of trees and thence into bright sunshine. The contrasts are magical. Sketched En plein air with Fude pen and carbon ink and finished with watercolour indoors. On Canson Moulin de Roy rough watercolour paper 30x40cm
