Superb picture Martin.

Agree with Stephen.

It's lovely Martin, your handling of the light is so good!

Superb sketching.

Thanks very much for having a look and responding Stephen Chris Spencer Marjorie and Lewis

Love the dappled sunshine and who cares what purists think. The end result is so impressive Martin.

The white paint works here very well. Was it watercolour or gouache?

Watercolour and gouache are perfect partners Martin. This is super.

Thanks Heather. Carole you’re right of course about purists. Thanks Jenny Lynda and John. It was watercolour this time but I occasionally use gouache. I’d seen a demo by Paul Talbot Greaves at Patchings and he used white in his mixes so I added it to my paint box and this is the first time I’ve used it.

The addition of the white has worked a great Martin. Really excellent result.

Stunning Martin.

Really dramatic Martin, fantastic use of colour, light and shade.

Thanks very much David Val and Elaine

Sketched this on Monday after meeting my FSA art group at Clumber Park. En plein air with Fude Pen and added watercolour in studio. I’m not sure about it and Watercolour purists may not approve as need dictated that I made liberal use of white paint for highlights. On Saunders Waterford not block 16x12”
