Disappointing about the stone! Nice sense of distance here Martin.

Thanks for having a look and commenting David Stephen Dixie Spencer Marjorie. Yes I thought I’d found a priceless nugget of the purest Pink! Blackadder fans will know what I mean. Except Percy’s alchemy created nugget was Green

Love how you have painted this Martin. Such a strong sense of place and the stones and plants in the water are so naturally placed.

Wonderful, I LOVE it!

This is excellent Martin.

Love the light Martin and super line work.

Beautiful work Martyn. It really is. Shame about the 'pink'!

This is a beautiful painting.

Thank you for commenting Carole Heather Coral David Fiona Sarah and Valerie. Much appreciated!

Absolutely superb throughout foreground, middle ground to the background, great values too.

Thanks for your comment David. Appreciate that

Wonderful painting, the white pen work really stands out. There’s an almost photographic quality to some of it, and I love the gentle transition of the ‘blues’.

Thank you Andrew. Appreciate you commenting

Sketched En Plein Air with Fude Pen and completed indoors with watercolour. The light was intense reflecting strong blue skies in the water. When I’d finished sketching I turned to see a bright pink object on the dark peat ground. It looked like bubblegum. I thought it odd because it wasn’t there when I started. On closer examination I discovered it was a stone so I washed it in the lake. When my eyes finally adjusted to the light it was the dullest grey imaginable. Ha! On Arches watercolour paper 14x11”
