Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil

Beautifully painted Martin. I can spot an owl and two snakes.

It's a beauty Martin so very effective. Like Carole it's an Owl and two snakes for me.

How clever and I like the way you've painted it. I've had a good look and I think I can see 3 (possibly 4) snakes but for the life of me no owl ... wait a minute, yes I can. Brilliant!

Excellent painting spotted the owl and one snake in the tree .

Really well done can only see two residents.

Very effective, Martin!!

Great to play! I can see an owl and two birds (maybe snakes, maybe wossnames)...and maybe a mask near the top that isn't there.

Nicely created Martin.

I really like this Martin. I agree with the owl and snakes but can I also spot a bat there?

Thanks for having a look and searching for the residents. I’m really impressed that so many things have been spotted. It just goes to show that a painting is a dialogue and the viewer brings so much to the table. Love the idea of bats wossnames and masks! I’ll now let you know that I painted one snake and one owl so Dixie and Stephen get a team point each. I wish I’d put more things in now!

Images like this really appeal to my dark side…..lol I can conjure all kinds of tales and fables looking in to your painting. Like it Martin.

Yes, spotted the owl and snake - lovely colours and interesting paper texture.

Thanks Fiona. Glad it stirs something in you. Look forward to seeing your dark side

Thanks Jenny. It’s Canson Moulin de Roy Rough texture. Great for both wet painting and loose painting

This is what I call "excellence"

The tree is based on an oak tree in Shaw Wood. That’s where realism ends. The rest is pure loopiness. It’s good to play! Can you spot the residents? Watercolour on Canson Rough paper 14x11”.
