Well I like Marmite and I like this very atmospheric painting.

As a hill-walker I like it too. There is the promise of a steep ascent in uncertain weather. (I also like Marmite).

I like dark pictures! They need to have atmosphere, as this one has, but as I've said elsewhere rather frequently in the last week or so, my favourite artist is Jean Baptiste Camille Corot - described by one critic as "having almost a physical fear of sunlight". I think that was overdoing it, but he could certainly paint dark pictures. Thing about this one, even though you've re-used the boards, is that you can of course do it again, having done it once: and I'd encourage you to.

Thanks to you Marmite fans. You are right Robert I could do it again but there are so many other things to try and redoing a piece, I find, never gives you the same buzz as the first time.

I like Marmite too and this is rather lovely!

Thanks Heather. Welcome to the Marmite gang!

A quadriptych in acrylic which I finished almost 2 years ago and have never shown as I reused 3 of the panels for other paintings. Looking at the photos on my phone I came across it and on reflection wish I’d kept it though it may be a bit dark for some. Possibly a Marmite picture? Total size 80x30”
