Wet sand and Warm Light

Wet sand and Warm Light

I love this painting! The light you have captured is really beautiful. The whole picture reminds me of my sister as a little gir and I am sure it 'talks" to many who view it in similar ways. Beautiful Trevor!

You've done it again Trevor! Another truly delightful picture. Where is it that you manage to find such lovely sunshine, sandy beaches and water warm enough for children to swim and play in?

Most of my work is based on commission work I completed in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. I am not sure if the water was so warm or the children resiliant to Enlish summers.

Great image and technique

Wonderful work Trevor!

A delightful painting, Trevor. Great use of pastels and lovely subject!

I think all of your work is beautiful! There's a sense of temperature and the light quality is exceptional. The context for your subjects tells a story.

Another beauty! The colours and light are just perfect...... my favourite on POL for today!

Thank you for your comments. It gives me great motivation. Thank you

Wonderful, full of warmth and wonder!

Another beautiful work of art Trevor, have only just spotted it . How you capture the light is amazing.

This is brilliantly done, very lovely.

I agree with everyone, superb painting, I like everything about it

I cannot any more to the lovely comments you already have just to say what another great painting this is. I love the light you get within all your paintings.

Pastel on sansfix paper. 15"x15" In the warmlight of a summer evening a child plays with her bucket and spade. The sea had warmed after a hot day as the tide came over the sand and the wet sand with the warm colour of the bucket and the warm blue of her costume made for a great set of colours.
